• Barriers include: lack of generalizable payment models; slow technology integration; real-world implementation challenges; lack of rigorous outcomes and cost data; workforce shortages; and no sustainable infrastructure.
• Healthcare practitioners can effect change by:
  • Seeking virtual training opportunities in quality improvement methodology and dissemination-implementation science
  • Searching for mentorship and collaboration within or outside the practice setting to discover best practices and learnings from failed experiences
  • Understanding organizational priorities and aligning initiatives by actively approaching administrators
  • Recruiting multiple team members (e.g., nursing, practice managers, allied healthcare practitioners) to create a unified voice in advocating for change.
