- 有和无DM的患者均显示出CV获益，但安慰剂组的DM患者CV终点事件发生率升高1.5倍，而IPE组首次终点的绝对风险降低7％，总事件率降低12.7％（ p均 <0.001）。
- IPE 4 g /d可为他汀类药物治疗的DM患者提供更多CV益处，且首次和全部CV事件的相对和绝对风险均降低。
