Has specialized at WHO Collaborating Center, University Hospital, Geneva, Switzerland; King's College Hospital, London, Oxford, Cambridge, UK; Steno Diabetes Center, Copenhagen, Denmark. Author of over 230 peer-reviewed publications; over 5000 citations in international journals; over 400 presentations at national and international meetings. h-index 26. Invited speaker at EASD postgraduate training courses in many countries.Serves as Editorial Board member and reviewer at a number of national and international journals.
